Join us at Heaven's View Mountain Resort in the quaint town of McGregor, Cape Town. The venue is nestled in the heart of nature, offering breathtaking views and an enchanting atmosphere.
ACCOMMODATION
Heaven's View is an idyllic weekend wedding venue, perched 1,020 meters above sea level along the Boesmanskloof Hiking Trail.
The picturesque setting is reached via a 17km winding gravel road, offering both adventure and seclusion.
With on-site accommodation available, guests can fully immerse themselves in the wedding celebration
without the worry of a late-night journey.
We encourage booking a stay at the venue to make
the most of this unforgettable experience.

While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration—with the sweet exception of our flower girls. We hope you enjoy a special evening with us!
There are no facilities to buy food or drinks, once you are at Heaven's View Mountain Resort. There is a small pool, so if you feel like having a dip, bring your swimsuits.
Please only start to book your accommodation in October as we need the RSVP's first to assist Marijolize with accommodation allocation.Thanks for your patience!

Drive approximately 137 km to Robertson
Enter Robertson with Petrol Garage on the left, proceed to the 4-WAY STOP, turn Right to McGregor.
Continue over the old Railway Bridge proceed towards the Breede River Bridge
At FORK, keep left towards McGregor
Drive to McGregor, in McGregor, at the fork, keep to the right. (Voortrekker Road)
Drive through McGregor, proceed on the gravel road (grondpad)
Pass LORD’s Winery on the right
Proceed towards the mountain pass, continue driving
Pass the small light grey chalets on the right
Look out for the GALGEBERG board on the left side of the road, you need to turn to your right soon (about 15km from McGregor)
Stone Wall marked Boesmanskloof, Die Galg, will be in front of you on the Right side of road.
Turn Right here onto a small gravel-tarred road towards the Galgeberg.mountain.
Follow about 4km of tarred road (teerpad) up the mountain
Turn left at the GALGEBERG, PRIVATE ROAD, NO ENTRY sign (at the concrete ramp), keep momentum
Follow the small paved road of about 300m towards Heaven’s View Mountain Venue

ON THE WAY
Oumeul Bakery is a great place to stop to grab some delicious snacks for your weekend away in the mountains.There is a play area for the kids. Area: R60, 1km from Robertson.
Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary
It's a permanent home which provides loving care to destitute, rescued donkeys. Since the founding of Eseltjiesrus they have cared for more than thirty donkeys at the Sanctuary and placed further numbers in approved foster homes.
Bird Watching: There are two bird hides at the upper dam, one having universal access. There is also a bird hide at the lower dam. The bird hides can alternatively be reached by driving to the parking area on Steenboksvlakte/Stormsvlei Road.
Mountain Biking: 8km mountain bike trail which takes about an hour.
Art in the Garden: Barbara Sowter, resident sculptor and abstract artist, is the brain child behind this charming little Garden Gallery on the main street of McGregor. This small village has a vibrant and growing art community whose work is displayed here on most weekends. The beautifully designed garden venue is a treat from start to finish!
La Galleria: Built in 2016 the gallery’s organic architecture creates a wonderful synergy with the peaceful and rustic ambiance of McGregor village.Meet Dani and view his latest photographs and fine art prints. Dani also curates and regularly hosts solo exhibitions with talented contemporary artists. Opening hours: Friday 18:30 - 19:30, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 - 14:30 or by appointment with pleasure. 7 Bree St, McGregor, South Africa.
At Temenos Retreat and Tibaldi's Restaurant:
I recommend walking through the spiral garden. Five great spiritual traditions are quietly honoured, each with its own shrine. It is a worth-while experience, but wear long pants, as there are some bugs that bite. Take your time and meandor through the gardens and find all the shrines.Unfortunately, children are not allowed in the garden, as this is a spiritual retreat.
Lord's Wines was established in 2006 where viticulturist, Jacie Oosthuizen, turned his love for wine and cricket into a cellar. The whole concept is based on the Lord's cricket ground in London. High up on the northern slopes of the mountains surrounding Robertson, in the lush Mc Gregor valley, you will stumble across a gravel road that will lead you on the road up the mountain.
